Duke Nukem Forever?
It will come as a shock to many Duke Nukem fans – but there are people out here in the real world that have never heard of him! Serious gamers would faint at the thought.
Duke Nukem is the hero of a hard core and controversial, no holds barred, first person shooter game. Nudity and extreme violence are commonplace, including shooting at bound women, visitation of strip clubs and interactions with prostitutes in the previous release. It is very ‘politically incorrect’, with many statements that would be considered degrading of women.
Duke Nukem Forever, the next installment of the game, is set to be released next week. It is rated M for Intense Violence, Blood & Gore, Mature Humor, Strong Language, Nudity, Use of Drugs and Alcohol, and Strong Sexual Content.
As seen (below) on the trailer for the upcoming Duke Nukem Forever, the graphics for the game are impressive, and the humor… well, funny (if you can look past the political incorrectness). At the end of the trailer, there’s even a dig poking fun at just how long it took for this game to be released (12 years) after the last installment of the series, Duke Nukem 3D.
Duke Nukem first appeared in 1991 in a PC game of the same name. He was a quite hero, rarely speaking in the early games. Originally hired by the CIA to save earth from Dr. Proton. As the series progressed though, he became a wise cracking tough guy/action hero. Stories often involve him saving the earth from evil, invading, aliens.
Duke Nukem Forever is set for release in June 14th in the US. Some pirated copies are already starting to make the rounds. Trailer is below. Warning – though it has been cleaned up somewhat for YouTube, it still contains strong language and situations.
