Women’s World Cup Final: Time, Odds, Streaming & Channel Details

Women’s championship soccer is on the center stage of the sports world today with the playing of the Women’s World Cup Final!

The game will be between the USA and Japan, and  in Frankfurt, Germany. If the US wins, it will be the third FIFA Women’s World Cup championship they have won. The USA women’s team has made it to the finals twice before, the last time in 1999, and has won both times.

The match is set to start today at 2:45pm US Eastern Time (that’s 8:45pm in Frankfurt, and a late/early 3:45am Monday morning in Japan).

In the US, the Women’s World Cup Final will be shown on ESPN, the broadcast begins at 2pm. ESPN3.com will have live streaming of the Women’s World Cup Final on their site. The match can also be followed along on Twitter @ESPN_US_Soccer.

The USA women are the odds on favorites… but Japan was not expected to make it to the finals, and did. The teams have met three times already this year, an unusual circumstance in international soccer. The USA has won all three times. But Japan can’t be counted out. Due to the devastating earthquake and troubles that Japan has had over the past year, they have become the sentimental favorites and that can lead to some emotional and motivated play. The odds at the time of writing are USA: +100, Japan: +260, draw: +230, total: over 2.5 -164.
