World’s Thinnest, Lightest, Tablet To Be Unveiled At CES

Toshiba is promising to unveil the world’s thinnest and lightest tablet at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which starts next week in Las Vegas.

The new tablet is reported to weigh in at 558g (just over a pound), which is lighter than the iPad 2. It’s 7.7 mm thin (slightly less than a third of an inch). That’s as thin as many World-thinnest-tablet-from-Toshibaof the ‘super thin’ smartphones, in fact, it’s just a touch over the thickness of waterproof or water-resistant tablet from Pantech next week.

Lot’s going on, as expected, prior to CES! More as details come in.
