Fox released the first information about the special edition Blu-ray copies of X-men: First Class today. The film, directed by Mathew Vaughn, was very well received both by critics and at the box office. The special edition Blu-ray discs will be released on September 9th and here is what you can expect.
First off, there are two different boxes to choose from, one featuring Professor Xavier (James McAvoy), Moira Magtaggert (Rose Byrne), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), and Beast (Nicholas Hoult). The other features Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon), Emma Frost (January Jones), Azazel (Jason Flemyng), and Angel (Zoe Kravitz). No matter which copy you snag, the special edition will net you tons of bonus features including hours of behind the scenes video, ten X-Men Digital comics (featuring a never-before-seen backstory comic) and a Cerebro Mutant Tracker which is an interactive database of all the mutans spanning every X-men film. You also get a Digital Copy of the movies.
On top of all that, the first one thousand people who pre-order their copy during San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) will get a free limited edition Team Erik or Team Charles shirt, depending on which edition is pre-ordered. San Diego Comic Con runs from July 21-July 24.
