Star Wars: Episode VII director J.J. Abrams has partnered with UNICEF in a campaign called “Star Wars: Force For Change” according to a video message from J.J. Abrams and a UNICEF press release.
Fans now have the opportunity to be in the new film upon a $10 donation to UNICEF. The donation, when sent in via Omaze.com/StarWars enters the donor in a drawing for a grand prize.
“The Star Wars: Force for Change Grand Prize includes:
- Airfare and accommodations to London for one winner and a guest
- Behind-the-scenes access on the closed set of Star Wars: Episode VII as VIP guests of J.J Abrams
- Winner will have the opportunity to meet members of the cast
- Winner and their guest will then be transformed by makeup and costume teams into a Star Wars character and filmed for a scene in Star Wars: Episode VII”
This campaign is the perfect way for J.J. Abrams to use his pull within the Star Wars community for a good cause. Fans are able to contribute towards something great, while also giving them a chance of a lifetime.
