2013 Emmys: Winners, Losers, Hilights & More – Live Updates

Television’s biggest night is finally upon us! The 2013 Emmys is set to air tonight at 8 pm ET and will be hosted by How I Met Your Mother Star Neil Patrick Harris.

All our favorite television stars will be walking the red carpet at Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California.

Elton John is set to perform a tribute to Liberace, while Carrie Underwood will also perform tonight by honoring the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

In the opening monologue, Host Neil Patrick Harris gets hilariously instructed by past Emmy hosts Jimmy Kimmel, Jane Lynch, Jimmy Fallon and Connan O’Brien.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler join in the mix instructing Neil to twerk! Haha, this is way too funny for words! These two always pack on the laughter!

Tina and Amy end up being the first presenters of the night! They are presenting the Award for Outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series and the Winner is…Merritt Wever from Nurse Jackie!

Next up LL Cool J and Malin Ackerman present for Outstanding Writing Comedy Series and the Winner is: Tina Fey & Tracey Wigfield for 30 Rock!

Sisters Emily Deschanel and Zooey Deschanel present the nominees for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and the winner is: Tony Hale from Veep!

John Hamm and Alec Baldwin are the next presenters. They are presenting Outstanding lead Actress in a Comedy Series and the Winner is: Julia Louis-Dreyfus from Veep!

Next up the award for Outstanding Director in a Comedy Series is given to Gail Mancuso for Modern Family!

Jimmy Kimmel and Sophia Vergara present for Outstanding Best Actor in a Comedy series and the Winner is… Jim Parsons, The Big Bang Theory!

Michael Douglas and Matt Damon welcome Sir Elton John to the Stage for a Liberace tribute!

Next up, Douglas and Damon present the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in A Miniseries or Movie and the Winner is…Laura Linney as Cathy Jamison, The Big C!

Blair Underwood and Connie Britton present Best Supporting Actor In A Drama Series and the Winner is… Henry Bromell, Homeland. His wife accepted his award as Bromell unfortunately passed earlier this year.

Underwood and Britton also present Best Supporting Actress In A Drama Series and the Winner is.. Anna Gunn, Breaking Bad!

Jane Lynch pays tribute to her Glee co-star Cory Monteith who sadly died at 31 years old of a drug overdose in July.

Host Neil Patrick Harris performs a musical number he calls “The Number in the Middle of the Show.” Nathan Fillion and Sarah Silverman join him in the middle of the number! An awkwardly funny moment that’s for sure!

Mindy Kaling and Stephen Amell present Outstanding Reality Competition Program and the Winner is…THE VOICE! WOW finally a show beats out The Amazing Race!

Diahann Carroll and Kerry Washington present Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and the winner is…Bobby Cannavale as Gyp Rosetti, Boardwalk Empire

Next up the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in A Drama Series goes to…Jeff Daniels, Newsroom!

Don Cheadle introduces Carrie Underwood with her tribute to “the historic events of 50 years ago.”

Carrie Underwood sings The Beatles’ “Yesterday.” She sounds incredible as always!

Next, Jimmy Fallon presents Lead Actress in a Drama Series and the winner is…Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, Homeland!

Next up the award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series and the winner is….David Fincher, House of Cards!

Jim Parsons presents the award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series and the winner is…The team from the Colbert Report!!! Finally!

Now, for Directing in A Variety Series the winner is….Don Roy King for Saturday Night Live!!

Another musical dance number performance by Host Neil Patrick Harris followed by dance routines for Mad Men, Games of Thorns, American Horror Stories, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad and The Big Bang Theory!

Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn present the award for Outstanding Choreography and the winner is Derek Hough for Dancing With The Stars!

How I Met Your Mother Stars Alyson Hannigan and Cobie Smulders present Outstanding Variety Series and the winner is… The Colbert Report! Stephen Colbert profusely thanks John Stewart!

Alyson Jennings and Anna Ferris present Outstanding Writing for Miniseries or Television Movie and the winner is..Abi Morgan The Hour!

Jennings and Ferris also present Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie and the winner is… James Cromwell American Horror Story: Asylum

Next up, the award for Best Directing for Mini Series or TV Movie and the Winner is Steven Sonderbergh, Behind the Candelabra

The award for Supporting Actress for Mini Series or TV Movie is presented and the winner is… Ellen Burstyn Political Animals!

Bryan Cranston and Claire Danes present Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie and the winner is Michael Douglas, Behind the Candelabra. Douglas profusely thanks his costar Matt Damon in his acceptance speech!

Will Ferrell presents the award for Best Comedy Series and the winner is Modern Family!!!
