2014 MTV Video Music Awards: Where & When To Watch/ Streaming/ Performers & Nominees

It’s that time of year again: time to handout some moon men as the 2104 MTV Video Music Awards rolls into the Forum in Ingelwood, California tonight at 9 P.M. (EST)/ 6 P.M. (PST).

MTV will be broadcasting live and will also have a live stream available for free at MTV VMA all access live stream or  www.watchvma.com.

MTV has a full line-up of events for fans, starting with the always entertaining red carpet pre-show at 8 P.M. (EST)/ 5 P.M. (PST).

The pre-show is being hosted by ‘Pretty Little Liars Star’ Lucy Hale, who is also in the process of launching a country singing career.

She will be joined by  nominees Fifth Harmony and Charli XCX, who will both  be performing on the red carpet.

After that all eyes will be glued to the Awards, which has an impressive line-up of performers this year.

The show will open with a performance by the red-hot Jessie J, singing her smash-hit “Bang, Bang”, a collaboration with the equally hot Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande.

Minaj and Grande will each perform solo later on in the broadcast; Minaj will sing her latest hit, “Anaconda” and Grande will sing her hit single, “Break Free”.

Beyonce`, who always puts on a show-stopping performance, is expected to do it again this year.  In a recent TV interview an MTV executive said her performance can’t be missed.

Bey is also set to receive the Video Vanguard award for all her musical contributions over the years.

If that isn’t enough, hip-hop sensation (and my personal fav) Iggy Azalea will hit the stage with Rita Ora to sing “Black Widow’, Taylor Swift is singing her new song, “Shake it Off” and Sam Smith is singing his sweet “Stay With Me” ballad.

Plus, Usher is returning to perform for the first time in years and Maroon 5 will be performing for the first time ever!

As for who’s been nominated, Beyonce` leads all nominees with 8, including the coveted Video of the year award.

Iggy Azalea and Eminem are right behind Bey with 7 nominations each and stars such as Pharrell Williams, Lorde, Piybill and Ariana Grande all have  multiple nominations as well.
