2014 PGA ChampionshipsDay 1: TV Schedule/Live Streaming/Tee Times & Players To Watch

The PGA Championship is the final major tournament of the season, which means the best of the best will be out vying for the title of champion.

The tournament takes place at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky and runs from Thursday, August 7 through Sunday August 10.

Coverage of round 1 begins Thursday, Augst 7 from 1 P.M. (EST) – 7 P.M. (EST) on TNT.

You can also catch all the action streaming live from pga.com at the following times:

– 8 A.M (EST) – 7 P.M. (EST), marquee groups.

– 1 P.M. (EST) – 7 P.M. (EST), par 3 stream.

You can also get a complete list of tee times for round 1 at pga.com.

There will be plenty of players to watch, but all eyes will be on Tiger Woods, who showed up in Louisville on Wednesday to play in the tournament.

Up until Woods arrived it was uncertain if he would compete because of ongoing back issues.  It still remains to be seen if he is healthy enough to compete at this level and can make the cut after 18 or 36 holes.

Tiger, even when he is not at 100% is still one of the most riveting players to watch and a TV ratings booster so I know the fans and networks that are broadcasting hope he can play through.

Tiger has an 8:35 A.M. (EST) tee time alongside Phil Mickelson and Padraig Harrington.

Woods is not the only player to watch.  Fans will also be keeping a close eye on Rory Mcllroy, who has been unbeatable recently and can make history by winning.

Mcllroy won the U.S. Open, followed by a win at the Bridgestone Invitational last week and is playing the best golf of his life.

If he manages to pull off the win he will be one of the youngest players to win 4 majors titles by the age of 25.  The other 3 players were Woods, who won his 4th title at the 2000 Open at 24, Nicklaus, who won his 4th at the 1965 Masters at 25 and Ballesteros, who won his 4th at the 1984 Open at 27.

Mcllroy tees off at 1:45 P.M. (EST) with Bubba Watson and Martn Kaymer.

In addition to Woods and Mcllroy other players to watch include Wood’s tee partner and former winner Phil Mickelson, Mcllroy’s tee partner Martin Kaymer, who is also a former PGA winner and the defending PGA champ Jason Dufner.
