NBC’s Olympic prime time coverage tonight features medal competitions in Women’s Downhill Skiing, Women’s Half Pipe (final), the Men’s 1000m Speed Skating, and Pairs Figure Skating (final).
NBC will be airing these events from 8:30 -11:30 Eastern Standard Time. Most of the favorites in these events are U.S. athletes.
The Women’s Downhill Skiing Event will focus on Julia Mancuso of the United States.
Mancuso already holds the most medals by a woman in U.S. Olympic alpine history with four. She is considered the front-runner in this event.
Shani Davis, another U.S. athlete, will also be highlighted in the Men’s 1000m Speed Skating competition. Davis is the World Record holder in this event.
He previously won gold medals in this event in Turin and Vancouver.
Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir of Canada appear to be the ones to beat in the Pairs Figure Skating Finals. but Meryl Davis and Charlie White of the U.S. are expected to give them a run for their money.
Finally, in the Women’s Half Pipe finals, Kelly Clark and the rest of the U.S. team are expected to dominate.
