2014 World Cup: Schedule/Streaming & Predictions For Day 7

Day 7 of The 2014 World Cup is here and it features 3 intriguing matches fans won’t want to miss at Porto Alegre.  Coverage of all 3 games is on ESPN.

The action starts at 12 P.M. (EST) with The Netherlands taking on Australia (Group B).

The Netherlands stunned everyone with their game 1 rout of Spain, who are the defending champions, by a score of 5-1.

The win has made many take a second look at The Netherlands as serious contenders in these games.

Australia, meanwhile, lost their opening match to Chile 3-1.  They looked lethal throughout the game and gave Chile a hard time, but would need a miracle to win and advance out of the group.

The Netherlands should win this one with no problem

Game two takes place at 3 P.M. (EST) and features Spain and Chile (Group B) facing off.

Spain is known to be extremely dangerous when their mad, hence their nickname: The Red Fury.  It’s pretty safe to say that after being badly beaten in their opening match by The Netherlands they will come out swinging.

Chile won their opening match against Australia and is playing well, but unfortunately they are going up against a royally pissed, defending championship Spanish team.

Expect Spain to redeem themselves and get the win.

The third and final game of the day is at 6 P.M. (EST) when Croatia and Cameroon (Group A) square off.

Croatia played a solid opening game against the host country they can be proud of.  They looked good and had great ball movement, impressing many fans with their win.

Cameroon was expected to be a high-scoring, difficult to defend team but looked the exact opposite in their first-round loss to Mexico.  To make matters worse their top player, Samuel Eto’o has been ruled out of the game, making their odds of winning this game are almost zero.

Croatia should easily defeat the weaker Cameroon team.

You can catch all the action streaming online through WATCHESPN and WATCHABC.  ESPN/ESPN2 and ABC will have coverage of all 64 World Cup games.
