2015 Belmont Stakes: American Pharoah Wins Triple Crown-TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Post Positions & Odds

*Update- American Pharoah has won the Triple Crown, becoming the 1st horse to do so in 37 years.  His win was impressive, as he won by 5 1/2 lengths and had the lead the whole time.

The 2015 Belmont Stakes takes place this Saturday (June 6) and it promises to be an exciting race as American Pharoah takes a shot at becoming the first Triple Crown winner since 1978.

This will be the 147th running of the Belmont Stakes, which takes place at the Belmont Park Race Track in Elmont, NY.

There is a 1.5 million dollar purse up for grabs with the winner taking home $800,000.

7 Keen Ice Kent Desormeaux 25-1
8 Materiality John Velazquez 13-2

All eyes will be on Triple Crown hopeful American Pharoah, who won the Derby and the Preakness convincingly.

However, this is far from a sure thing for Pharoah: even though the odds makers all have him as the favorite the fact is this is his 3rd race in 5 weeks, which means he may not be at 100%.

Meanwhile the other 7 horses are racing fresh and are all serious contenders, putting Pharoah at a bit of a disadvantage.

The Belmont Stakes, historically, is one of the most unpredictable tracks, so it’s really anybody’s guess, but I’m going with Pharoah- I think this is his year.
