Racing’s premier event, the Daytona 500 takes place this Sunday, February 22 live from the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Consumer Press has everything you need to know to watch including race time, free live streaming option and predictions.
Race time: 1:30 P.M. (EST) on Fox, with pre-race coverage airing at noon, also on Fox.
Access is free, but you need to log-in using a participating cable provider to see it.
TV Coverage: Fox Sports 1 will also have live coverage from 10:30 A.M. (EST) until noon with NASCAR Race Day and again at 5 P.M. (EST) with NASCAR Victory Lane.
Predictions: This will probably be Jeff Gordon’s last Daytona 500, as he has announced he will no longer be racing full-time after this year, making this a must-see for a lot of fans.
Gordon is a 4-time NASCAR champ and will be in the 1st position for Sunday’s race, with Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. , who won last year, in the 2nd and 3rd spots.
Tony Stewart will be racing 7th and Danica Patrick will be in the 20th spot after managing to make it in despite some bad luck in the qualifying event.
Finally, after a judge ruled Kurt Busch committed several acts of domestic violence NASCAR announced that he has been suspended indefinitely and will not compete Sunday; Busch is appealing.
You can see the full line-up for the event here.
This is anyone’s race and anything can happen but I’m predicting Gordon goes out a winner.
