Macy’s Annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular 2015 takes place this Saturday night and as always, thousands are expected to line up along the East River to watch.
If you plan to head down to watch the event, here is everything you need to know, including the best spots to watch, entry points and street closings for the night.
The show starts at 9 P.M. (EST), but due to the large crowds expected experts suggest to be there by 5 P.M. (EST) if you want a good place to watch from.
There will be a 25 minute fireworks display synchronized to a variety of music, along with live performances from Dierks Bentley, Kelly Clarkson, Flo Rida, Brad Paisley, Ed Sheeran, and Meghan Trainor.
Show Location:This years show will take place from several locations: A double barge just south of Brooklyn Bridge, along with four additional barges between East 23rd and East 42nd Streets.
The additional barges will allow good viewing points from Brooklyn, Long Island City and Midtown East.
Best Spots To Watch: Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn Heights Promenade, and along the east side of Lower Manhattan.
Those watching from Manhattan can watch from elevated sections of the FDR Drive.

From Houston To Midtown: Houston Street, 23rd Street, 34th Street,42nd Street
From Lower Manhattan: Broad Street ground level, Old Slip upper level, Pearl & Frankfort
