The National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony 2015 will take place outside the White House on Thursday, December 3 at 4:30 pm ET.
Reese Witherspoon will be hosting the event with a special appearance by Miss Piggy of Muppets fame.
Musical acts and performers set to appear at 2015’s National Tree Lighting Ceremony include Fall Out Boy, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Bellamy Young, Joyous String Quartet, Tori Kelly, Trombone Short, Andra Day, Aloe Blacc, Kelsea Ballerini and The United States Coast Guard Band.
The National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will begin at 4:30 pm ET on the Ellipse at President’s Park, just north of Constitution Ave NW and west of 15th St NW.
Viewers can also watch the performance streamed live online beginning at 4:30 pm ET on December 3, 2015 at www.thenationaltree.org with an exclusive pre-show.

The lighting of the National Christmas Tree was started by President Calvin Coolidge in 1923.
