Update: Serena Williams advances to the semifinals, defeating sistee Venus 6-2, 1-6, 6-3.
It’s Venus vs Serena in the women’s quarterfinals of the 2015 US Open and we have all the details on how to watch what is being called the must-see match of the year.
The Williams sisters have battled each other 26 times in their careers, but if anything that just builds to the excitement as tonight’s match has a lot at stake for both women.
Serena (no. 1 seed) is just 3 wins away from completing her 1st ever calendar grand slam; if she succeeds she will be 1st woman to do it since Steffi Graf in 1988.
Venus (no. 23 seed), meanwhile, is looking for her 1st major win in 7 years.
The women have met 4 times previously at the Open and are tied 2-2, with Serena winning the last time in 2008.

Preview:
Serena has been playing strong all year and is the fan favorite as she attempts to complete the slam.
Except for a shaky 3rd round match, she has looked almost flawless here at the Open and has momentum on her side… but hard courts are Venus’ specialty.
Venus has beat Serena 2 out of the last 3 hard court matches, the last time being in 2014.
Venus is also looking quite sharp after starting the Open with two 3-set matches.
The big question will be whether Serena can control her nerves, because if she can she should be able to take the win and be one step closer to history.
