2016 MTV Movie Awards: Time, Live Stream, Nominees & More

The 2016 MTV Movie Awards, honoring the best (and craziest) on the big screen, take place this Sunday night (April 10) and we have all you need to know on when and how to watch.

This year marks the show’s 25th Anniversary, and MTV is pulling out all the stops, with Kevin Hart and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson co-hosting, as well as a line-up of A-list performers and presenters scheduled to appear.

There are also some exciting can’t-miss moments and announcements scheduled to happen, which I’ll tell you all about below.

For those planning to watch, here’s an A-Z rundown on the show, including time and channel, free live streaming options, special awards, nominees, performers and more.

Time & Channel: The awards will air live on MTV and MTV2 starting at 8 P.M. EST/5 P.M. PST; their will be a half-hour Red Carpet pre-show at 7:30 P.M. EST/ 4:30 P.M. PST.

The show will be hosted by comedian Kevin Hart and

Free Live Streaming: For those on the go you can stream the award for free through MTV.com or using the MTV.com app for iOS and Android.

Special Awards: This year’s Comedic Genius Award will go to Melissa McCarthy, marking the first time the award has gone to a woman.

Also, Will Smith will be honored with the Generation Award, which has gone to stars like Robert Downey Jr. in the past.

Exclusive/ Can’t Miss Moments: During the awards there will be several big events:

-An exclusive world premiere clip from Captain America: Civil War, delivered by none other than Captain America himself, Chris Evans.

-A new look at the upcoming Suicide Squad movie.

-Eddie Redmayne will premiere new footage from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Presenters: Among those scheduled to hand out those golden popcorn awards are: Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Chastain, Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Gigi Hadid, Kendrick Lamar and Olivia Munn.

Performers: This year, Ariana Grande will perform the title track of her new album, Dangerous Woman and Halsey will perform “Castle,” a song from the forthcoming film The Huntsman: Winter’s War, live for the first time.
