2016 Thanksgiving TV Specials & Sports Schedule

Thanksgiving is a time for turkey, family, and some great specials and sporting events on TV.

From football battles to holiday cartoons, there is something for everyone, and we have the complete list to make sure you don’t miss any of it.

Below, you’ll find the 2016 Thanksgiving TV Guide, listing shows and specials for Wednesday, November 23 until Saturday, November 26.

“Macy’s 90th Thanksgiving Day Parade Special” a look back at the history of the parade. 8 p.m. NBC

“The Hollywood Walk of Fame Honors.” Joe Mantegna hosts. 8 p.m. KTLA

“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” a classic animated special for the whole family. 8 p.m. ABC

“SNL Thanksgiving 2016.”  An SNL holiday skit special. 9 p.m. NBC

“Property Brothers’” Jonathan and Drew Scott are bound for the Big Easy in their latest series, “Brothers Take New Orleans.” 9 p.m. HGTV

“Little Weddings.” the latest spin-off of the“Little Women” franchise  9 p.m. Lifetime

“The Double Dare Reunion Special” this is the 30th anniversary of the classic kids game show. 9 p.m. Nickelodeon

“Neighborhood Sessions.” featuring Usher, who returns to his hometown of Chattanooga, Tenn.10 p.m. TNT


“Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” hosted by NBC’s Today Show crew, Tony Bennett and Kelsea Ballerini perform, as floats, marching bands and those giant balloons go by. 9 a.m. NBC.

“The Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS” this is the same parade as NBC, with Sting and Miranda Lambert performing. 1 p.m. CBS

“NFL Football”

-Vikings vs. the Lions: (12:30 p.m. CBS)

-Redskins vs. the Cowboys: (4:30 p.m. Fox)

-Steelers vs. the Colts: (8:30 p.m. NBC)

“The National Dog Show.” hosted once again by John O’Hurley and David Frei. Noon on NBC

“The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration” features “Dancing With the Stars’” Julianne and Derek Hough and singer Sofia Carson. 8 p.m. ABC


“Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.” It’s time for a trip back to Stars Hollow. Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel and all of your favorites are here in four new extended episodes of the 2000-07 series. Any time, Netflix

“Frosty the Snowman,” 8 p.m. CBS

“Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” 8 p.m. NBC

“Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” 8 p.m. ABC

“Christmas List” a new holiday movie, starring Alicia Witt. 8 p.m. Hallmark Channel


“Punkin Chunkin 2016,” this year’s edition of the pumpkin-launching competition. 8 and 11 p.m. Discovery Channel

“A Heavenly Christmas.” another new Christamas special, with Sex and the City’s Kristin Davis, Eric McCormack and Shirley Maclaine. 8 p.m. Hallmark Channel

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” With Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot. 8 p.m. HBO

“Legends of the Hidden Temple” a new kid-friendly TV movie inspired by the children’s game show. 8 p.m. Nickelodeon
