Phillip Lim fans get ready, this coming Sunday (September 15) marks the release of the designer’s exclusive collection for Target.
3.1 Phillip Lim for Target offers apparel and accessories for both men and women. With over 100 items, the collection includes bags, shoes, and travel accessories.
Lim’s creations will be available at most Target stores and Target.com, according to the company.
Prices for apparel range from $19.99 to $299.99 while accessories are $19.99 to $59.99.
The New York-based designer says, “One of the reasons I wanted to collaborate with Target is because I felt that together we could create a collection that would inspire – one that is cool and chic, but still very accessible.”
The color palette is mostly neutrals featuring black, white, navy, and charcoal as well as a few prints. Trends for fall are mixed in including animal prints and faces, insets with contrasting material such as faux leather, pastels, emerald green (the Pantone Color of the Year), color-blocking, tuxedo stripes, and French terry pieces.
Items in the lookbook are shown mixed and matched for more versatility.
Pieces for women include a navy silk skirt and tuxedo suit jacket with matching pants, a woven shirt dress in paper floral print, and a sparkle blouse and ruffle tank, both in white. Dresses include casual and evening designs.
Jackets for both sexes include a leather motorcycle cut, in navy for the ladies and black for the men, as well as a classic khaki trench coat. The women’s trench coat features pastel blue accents peeking out from the lapels and flip side of the belt tie. Coordinating pastel blue pants are available for women.
Basics for men include a charcoal gray french terry sweatshirt and sweatpants, white and black high-top sneakers, navy blazer and pants, white long-sleeve button-up shirt, and a charcoal gray pique henley.
Other designs for men include a color-blocked black and white t-shirt, a navy long-sleeve shirt with camo sleeves, camo sweat pants, and tees in tiger print as well as camo.
Phillip Lim first debuted his 3.1 label at New York Fashion Week in 2005. Since then, according to Target, his designs “have received praise from editors, celebrities and critics for their easy, chic and youthful elegance.”
