In order to promote the upcoming film release of 300: Rise of an Empire, Warner Bros. has launched a new promotional website.
300: Rise of an Empire online features downloadable wallpapers, images and video from the film.
Fans awaiting the film’s release can also create their own animated GIFs with footage from the film’s official trailer.
300: Rise of an Empire is the highly anticipated action fantasy sequel to 300, the 2007 flick directed by Zack Snyder.
In the first film, King Leonidas (played by Gerard Butler) led a force of 300 men by land to fight the Persians in 480 B.C.
In the upcoming film, the battleground will shift to the sea.
Greek armies will face off against Persian forces led by King Xerxes and Artemesia, commander of the Persian navy.
The sequel stars Eva Green, Sullivan Stapleton and Jamie Blackley. The second installment also includes Lena Headey, Rodrigo Santoro, and David Wenham from the first film.
300: Rise of an Empire opens in theaters on March 7, 2014.
