A number of airlines are waiving fees for changing flights disrupted by the crash of Asiana flight 214 at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) today.
Virgin America was one of the first to issue a statement, through their site, that flight change fees were being waived for customers flying in or out of SFO on July 6th-8th, 2013.
There are some restrictions to qualify for the waiver, including that the original flight had to have been booked prior to July 6, and that the flight being changed to must begin by July 10.
Virgin says that flights may be rebooked online or by calling 1.877.FLY.VIRGIN (1.877.359.8474).
American Airlines has issued a statement saying they are waiving the fee for changing fights on travel originally planned for July 6 – 7 to or from SFO.
Restrictions detailed by AA include that travel had to be booked before July 6 and is only good for changes to July 8 – 10. Those in the US can call 1-800-433-7300 to change flights, according to their site.
jetBlue has announced free waivers for flight changes for customers traveling to or from SFO today and tomorrow. Flights have to have been booked by July 6 to qualify, and the date the travel is changed to must be rebooked by July 9. Their reservation number is: 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583).
jetBlue is also offering refunds to customers whose flights were cancelled do the the crash at SFO.
This is the shortlist so far, as quite a few airlines have not made their policies public yet. We will continue to monitor and report as more information comes in.

Airtran has updated their site with info on travel options related to the crash as SFO. Details here are rather sparse. They simple say that, due to disruptions, travel options are available from the original date of departure through three days after the original date. Travel plans can be changed online. The also state that customers can check their Airtran flight status here.
Delta is offering refunds to customers with affected flights and providing waivers for one time flight changes for travel from/to SFO on July 6 and 7 for changes rebooked for July 10 and earlier. According to Delta, changes can be made online or one of these phone numbers for their reservations desks.
Southwest has announced that flight status updates are available on their site here, and that customers are eligible to rebook affected flights from July 6 and 7 as per their accommodation procedures. They provide this link for rebooking flights.
