Free Kindle eBooks Coming To Samsung Phones & Tablets

Amazon and Samsung have joined forces to bring a special version of the Kindle app to Samsung‘s line of smartphones and tablets.

This version of the Kindle app, called Kindle for Samsung, will give its users access to Amazon‘s library of ebooks, magazines and newspapers.

The app can be found in the Samsung app store and is available now for the Galaxy S5 ONLY.  It will be available for all Samsung tablets and phones with an Android system of 4.0 and higher shortly.

There is currently a standard Kindle for Android available; the new app and the standard share many of the same features, like Whispersync and Time to Read.

So as an incentive to switch to the new Kindle For Samsung, the two companies are offering Samsung Book Deals, giving users 12 free ebooks a year.

Each month four ebooks will be offered: consumers can choose one at no cost.  The books are handpicked from a selection of well-known titles according to Samsung.

This collaboration will cement Samsung and Amazon‘s partnership: it will help Amazon sell more reading material; and it demonstrates Samsung‘s commitment to Amazon.

What do you think of this new app?  Will you be switching over?  Share your thoughts below.
