Amazon’s “Super Saver Free Shipping” Now Requires $35 Minimum!

Just weeks before Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the Christmas holiday shopping season begins, Amazon is raising the minimum cost of items that must be purchased before free shipping is available.

This is the first time in more than 10 years that Amazon.com has officially changed their free shipping minimum order amount in the U.S.

Now, in order to qualify for their ‘Super Saver Free Shipping’, you need to purchase $35 worth of products before taxes – previously, this was a $25 minimum.

To lessen the blow however, Amazon has expanded the amount of products they offer free shipping on across all 40 categories on their site.

While this will affect only free shipping – all other shipping options and costs remain the same – it will affect the many customers who depend on Amazon’s free shipping when making one or two book purchases.
