Tonight Fox’s Season 12 of American Idol marked another elimination round. Of course, before jumping straight into results, American Idol was equipped with guest performances.
More American Idol alums took to the stage. Tonight, Season 4 American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood performed her new single “See You Again.”
So great to see Underwood back on the Idol stage right?! Underwood is a great example of the incredible platform Idol serves in producing superstar artists.
The other guest performance was from former Season 9 finalist Casey James, who sang his new single “The Good Life.”
OK, now let’s get down to results!
Host Ryan Seacrest explains how last night the judges were asked to name which Idol contestants they believed should be in the top 3 based on last night’s performances.
Keith Urban stated: Kree, Angie and Amber.
Nicki Minaj also said Kree, Angie and Amber as well.
Randy Jackson also picked the same three, but said he wanted to add Candice for a Top 4.
Mariah Carey chose Kree, Amber and Candice. We personally agree with Mariah on this one!
Well, America’s choice was a bit different as Seacrest announced that Kree Harrison, Angie Miller and Lazaro Arbos made it to the Top 3.
Pretty shocking about Lazaro Arbos! He is clearly one of the weakest singers in comparison to the rest of the contestants.
Ryan then announces that the next person safe is Candice Glover. Thus, the bottom 3 is Burnell Taylor, Amber Holcomb and Janelle Arthur.
The first person safe in the bottom 3 is Amber Holcomb!
It’s finally down to Janelle Arthur and Burnell Taylor. Burnell Taylor ends up having the least amount of votes.
Burnell chooses to sing “Ready For Love” by India Arie for his save song. However, he is ultimately eliminated from the competition!
So, there you have it folks! Your Top 6 finalists include Kree Harrison, Angie Miller, Lazaro Arbos, Candice Glover, Amber Holcomb & Janelle Arthur.
