While we are still trying to recover from Candice Glover’s sensational performance of The Cure’s “Love Song,” it was time for another round of eliminations on Fox’s American Idol.
Of course, before getting to results, American Idol brought back past Idol winners back to the stage.
This time, Season 10 winner and country heartthrob Scotty McCreery took to the Idol stage to perform his new single “See You Tonight.”
Season 1 winner and pop sensation Kelly Clarkson also took to the stage to perform her new single “People Like Us.” Clarkson always blows us away with her incredible vocals and she did just that tonight!
Now, let’s get down to results. Last week’s top 3 contestants Lazaro, Angie and Kree are placed in three different spots on the stage.
Host Ryan Seacrest then places Janelle with Angie, Candice with Kree and Amber with Lazaro. He then explains that one group is the Top 2, one is the middle 2 and one is the bottom 2.
Ryan finally announces that Kree Harrison and Candice Glover are in the Top 2! We definitely couldn’t agree with America’s vote on this!
Ryan then announces that Lazaro Arbos and Amber Holcomb are in the bottom two tonight. Janelle Arthur and Angie Miller are safe!
A bit shocking that Amber Holcomb is in the bottom two, but in the end it was Lazaro Arbos with the least number of votes and is finally eliminated from the competition.
So there you have it. For the first time in American Idol History, the top 5 is all girls! We personally can’t wait for next week to see Kree Harrison, Angie Miller, Candice Glover, and Janelle Arthur battle it out for a spot in the Top 4!
Are you happy with tonight’s elimination? Leave your thoughts below!
