Ana Ivanovic Loses Against Three-Time Champion Serena Williams

Serena Williams, three-time champion, reined victorious against Ana Ivanovic to proceed to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open today.

Williams beat Serbia’s Ivanovic 6-3, 6-4 during windy conditions at Arthur Ashe Stadium in the National Tennis Center in New York today.

Williams, who has lost 17 games in eight sets so far in the U.S. Open, had nine aces and one double fault. Ivanovic had three aces and eight double faults.
