Apple Launches Mac App Store – Special Deals On IPhones

Apple launched the Mac App Store after much speculation. At exactly the same time the iPhone 3 GS has started to be available for only $49.

The Mac App Store was first announced in November and Steve Jobs claimed that the entire service will be launched around this time. Apple managed to do so and just as CES kicked off the announcement was made. It is going to be really hard to top this news in the following days.

The Mac App Store will first offer over 1000 paid and free apps. People can use their iTunes account in order to download everything that they want and gain new applications for Macs and a lot more. Snow Leopard users can gain access to the store by using Software Update through Mac OS X V10.6.6.

Steve Jobs announced that he is very pleased and the fact that there are more than 1000 apps will make users love the new way to “discover and buy their favorite apps.”

The launch of the Mac App Store has caused a lot of debate online because of PC software changes. The iPhone and iPad were highly successful because of the iOS App Store and specialists believe that the Mac App Store can cause the same success for Mac.
