American Reprographics Company (NYSE: ARC) announced today the release of ishipdocs 2.0, an upgrade the company claims will allow customers to “efficiently move large files and documents without struggling with limited email systems and archaic FTP sites.” The upgrade allows customers to upload documents and print from any of hundreds of printers worldwide.
It adds enormous value to any business’s document workflow by providing a simple but effective collaborative tool along with cloud printing solutions for documents of any kind,” said K. “Suri” Suriyakumar, Chairman, President and CEO of ishipdocs’ parent company, ARC. “Our customers can dramatically improve efficiency in document use and transmission, and significantly reduce the environmental consequences of printing and shipping documents by conventional means.”
Data centers in California, New York, London, and Kolkata, India are in place to facilitate fast transfer and routing of documents for the company’s customer base, which it reports at more than 120,000 users.
Full adoption of cloud document management has been hampered by business concerns regarding tracking, document flow, and upload/download time. ARC claims the issues are addressed with the newest iteration of ishipdocs software. The company’s common stock was up five percent in morning trading.
