Assassin’s Creed 4 To Release In 2014 | Features New Lead Hero

Fans of the highly acclaimed Assassin’s Creed series have been looking forward to the release of Assassin’s Creed 4.

Ubisoft, the French video game industry, has confirmed the release for 2014, as reported by IGN.

The Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, stated the game will be featuring an all new main hero complete with an updated time period and brand new team to work with.

However, there is no word on which studio will be developing the new title.

Fans will have more than enough to keep themselves occupied with the expansion pack set to be released on the February 19th, which will feature the alternate history of George Washington.

It is aptly named The Tyranny of King Washington and features a three episode journey.

Ubisoft also stated that they would be releasing the game at a different time period from the usual end of the year Christmas period.

Sales of the latest release by Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed III. saw an increase of 70% over the previous release in 2011.
