The box office is going through a lull at the moment, but that is expected to change starting this weekend.
The boost will come from 2 highly anticipated movies: Looper and Hotel Transylvania (trailers below).
Hotel Transylvania (Columbia Pictures) features voice overs from Kevin James and Adam Sandler. The 2 reunite in a fun tale that revolves around a hotel that is run by Count Dracula (voiced by Adam Sandler). The hotel is visited by a boy that falls in love with the daughter of the owner.
The voice cast is impressive with Andy Samberg, CeeLo Green, Steve Buscemi and David Spade among many others. This movie is expected to go over 30 million dollars in revenue for the opening weekend and is set to appear this weekend in 3,349 theaters.
Looper (Sony) is an entirely different movie, R-rated, that sees Bruce Willis team up with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
The movie was directed by Levitt and is a modern crime noir story. The movie is seen as a combination between Inception and The Terminator. It features a lot of action for action fans, and also promises to also satiate intellectuals.
Looper is set to début in 2,992 theaters, no predictions of sales was released.
