Yesterday we told you about Free Movie Mondays from AT&T’s U-Verse cable TV service!
Today, we can tell you that today’s Free Movie Monday isn’t working.
We have had reports from a number of readers and confirmed the issue with our own testing.
The directions for accessing the free movie are fairly straight forward. Taken from the U-verse Screen Pack site, they are:
1) Press the “On Demand” button on the AT&T remote.
2) Navigate to “Featured.”
3) Then select “Movie Mondays.”
Following these steps today, we find that “Love Hurts” is the free movie.
There are two select buttons under it. One is “preview,” the other is “add to queue.”
There’s no “watch” button!
Hoping perhaps that a “watch” button would appear after watching the preview, we watched the preview. But nope… still no “watch” option.
We’ve contacted our person over at AT&T to ask about this, but probably won’t hear back until Tuesday. Bookmark this page and come back tomorrow and we’ll have more for you – maybe AT&T will extend the promo or provide some other compensation? We can always hope!

— update —
We heard back from an AT&T spokesperson today (Tues) with this information:
Unfortunately, we experienced operational issues in select U-verse markets that prevented the free movie from appearing in the U-verse menu. We greatly apologize for the inconvenience. U-verse customers will still have the opportunity to take advantage of Free Movie Mondays each week through September 30. Additionally, we’re having a Screen Pack Free Preview over Labor Day weekend (August 30 – September 2) during which customers can access the entire Screen Pack library of more than 1,000 titles.
So if you don’t get the movie you want to watch on Free Movie Mondays, looks like you just may get a chance over Labor Day.
