BareMinerals has launched a new facial cream called Complexion Rescue to round out its lineup of liquid and powder foundations; it combines a BB, CC, and tinted moisturizer all in one.

The company calls it a “tinted hydrating gel cream” that was formulated in reverse of the usual complexion products that are water-based on the inside with oil on the outside.

Instead, Complexion Rescue features olive-derived squalane on the inside with mineral-infused water on the outside–which is designed to be less drying and keep skin better hydrated.

The cream is designed to provide the benefits of a blemish balm, color correcting cream, and a facial moisturizer all in one product.

Available in 10 shades for fair to deep skin tones, coverage can be built up from sheer to medium for day or evening wear.

The product can be applied by fingertip or with BareMinerals’ new dual-fiber synthetic Smoothing Face Brush.

Complexion Rescue doesn’t contain parabens, fragrance, oil, or silicone, according to a press release from BareMinerals, and the company touts its new cream as non-chemical and mineral-based.

Ingredients include hydrating humectants, such as marine botanicals and glycerin, electrolytes, such as calcium and magnesium, and a plant-derived antioxidant called Globularia cordifolia ferment from a type of daisy.

Complexion Rescue also provides a broad spectrum SPF 30 for protection against UV rays.

The product currently retails for $29 in a 35 mL/1.18 fluid ounce size tube.

The BareMinerals Smoothing Face Brush, retails separately for $28.

BareMinerals Complexion Rescue all-in-one BB, CC, and tinted moisturizer cream is available at Bare Escentuals boutiques, Sephora, and Ulta stores as well as online at,,, and other retailers that carry BareMinerals products.
