BCS National Championship Tickets “Not Available To General Public”

Those wanting BCS National Championship Tickets are pretty much out of luck if they were hoping to get them at regular retail prices.

“There are no tickets that will go on sale to the general public,” according to about.com guide Judy Hedding, in an article about the BCS National Championship Game.

BCS National Championship tickets are available from third party resellers. Often at a premium, and sometimes along with a complete travel package with transportation and/or a hotel stay. Tickets will also be available to the participating school’s donors and alumni, Fiesta Bowl season ticket holders, and corporate sponsors.

The BCS Championship Game is hosted by the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl this year. The Fiesta Bowl’s official website, with details and ticket information, is down. As reported on Sure-start.com earlier today, their official website crashed sometime Sunday morning and was out the rest of the day. As of this morning it remains down. Their site, fiestabowl.org, is also the official website for the Insight Bowl.

The BCS Championship Game will be played on January 10th, 2011, between Auburn and Oregon, the number 1 and 2 teams (respectfully) in the BCS rankings. The winner will be named the NCAA National Champion.
