Only a month has passed since the Archos FamilyPad went on sale and the company is already gearing up for a second version, the FamilyPad 2.
UV reports a couple of messages were posted on the company’s Facebook page regarding the big tablet, and there’s also a comment that it’ll be available soon.
The features known so far include: a dual-core 1.6 GHz Cortex A9 processor, 8 GB of internal SD memory, microSD compatibility for memory expansion, 1 GB of RAM, a 2 megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 13.3 inch screen at a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels.
The features are more or less the same as FamilyPad 1, except for the size and the OS. The FamilyPad 2 sports Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
Archos is planning to include a quick stand along with the tablet.
The price of the tablet hasn’t been announced for U.S.
Does it sound like a worthy tablet to check out?
