Walmart online has announced their new shipping policies for the upcoming Black Friday 2013 sales season, expected to be their biggest yet.
The major announcement was that orders over $50 will all be shipped free, which make up the majority of Black Friday purchases for online shoppers.
For smaller orders (under $50) there will be a flat-rate fee of $4.97 shipping.
Free in-store pickup will also be available for most items.
This news should come as a great announcement to shoppers eagerly awaiting Walmart’s online sales this holiday season since their shipping costs were significantly higher in past years.
Walmart is planning to have their biggest promotions and sales ever this year.
According to their media outlet, they plan to release ads totaling at least 25 billion impressions this year online. They will also be promoting their Black Friday sales on radio, print, searches, social media and even some select TV shows.
