Bravo Pet Foods has recalled select lots of its chicken-flavored dog and cat foods after the New York State Department of Agriculture found the presence of Salmonella.

Pet owners should not feed their furry friends Bravo Blend Chicken Diet For Dogs And Cats 2-pound (32-ounce) chub with a best by date of 12-05-16, as this product tested positive for Salmonella. The sku for this product is 829546211280.

The 3-pound (48-ounce) bag of Bravo Balance Chicken Dinner For Dogs patties, with a best by date of 12-05-16 (sku: 829546214012), the 2-pound (32-ounce) Bravo Balance Chicken Dinner For Dogs chub with a best by date of 12-05-16 (sku: 829546214029), and the 5-pound (80-ounce) bag of Bravo Blend Chicken Diet For Dogs And Cats patties with a best by date of 12-05-16 (sku: 829546215088) were also recalled as an added precaution because they were manufactured in the same plant on the same day as the Salmonella-positive product. These three products did not test positive for any contamination.

The company has not received any reports of illness in either animals or people due to these products.
