Breast Cancer Awareness Month has led a number of companies to go pink this month, many traditionally ‘guy’ companies included.
For example, multi-tools aren’t the first things that come to mind when talking about outdoor gear for gals. But Leatherman is trying to change that with their Pink Program. According to the company, “a portion of the sales from each of these products will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation”.
Here’s a quick peek at the three Leatherman multi-tools that comprise the Pink Program lineup, now available during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Leatherman says that the Micra has been their most popular key-chain tool for years and now it’s available in pink. The Pink Micra sports 10 tools in one small 2.5 inch long package, with a pair of scissors, nail file and cleaner, tweezers plus a knife, three screwdrivers, a ruler and a bottle opener. Weighing less than two ounces, it’s sized right for a pocket, purse or sewing kit.
The Leatherman Pink Style is a pared down version of the Pink Micra, with just five of the most essential tools. There’s a pair of scissors, knife, flat and Phillips screwdriver, nail file and tweezers. At less than an ounce, it’s easily carried on a key-chain.
The Pink Style CS has the same features as the Pink Style with the addition of a Carabiner/Bottle Opener. That does make this model a little bigger and heavier, but it’s a sacrifice some people are willing to make.
