Brett Favre will pay a fine to the tune of $50,000 for being uncooperative in the investigation relating to his alleged sexting with Jenn Sterger.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced the fine on Wednesday but did not include any suspension of the Minnesota Vikings Quarterback. It was expected that the investigation would lead to some type of suspension for Brett Favre.
The fine resulted from an investigation where Brett Favre was accused of sending messages and photos that were inappropriate to New York Jets game day hostess Jenn Sterger during his one season with the team in 2008.
Goodell stressed that the league expected its workplace to be welcoming and free from harassment.
Favre may be playing his final game on Sunday against Detroit if cleared by doctors. Known for his consistent yearly declarations that each season is his last, Favre has once again insisted that his 20th season in the NFL will be his final year.
