Bruins Parade 2011: Start Time, TV, Streaming & Route Info

The Boston Bruins, winners of the 2011 Stanley Cup, will have their victory parade in Boston tomorrow, June 18th, at 11:00am local Boston time (Central).

The Bruin’s players will ride the parade in style – aboard duck boats. The Boston’s famous duck boats are used to give tourists rides around Boston. The amphibious vehicles are half truck, half boat, and were used in WWII. The boats are, by tradition, used as trasportation to Boston’s sport’s champions in victory parades.

According to Boston Mayor Tom Menino, the parade will start at the Garden, go through downtown and then end in Copley Square.

Roads around the parade route are expected to close about 9:00am, and will reopen approximately 3:30pm.  The MBTA will have expanded service subway, rail and bus service prior to, during and after the parade. Large crowds are expected at North Station.

The Boston Red Sox have pushed back their game at Fenway Park due to the parade. Rather than playing the Brewers at 1:10pm, the game has been pushed back to 7:10pm.

Most local channels are expected to cover the parade on Saturday. ESPNBoston.com has announced that they are trying to arraign live streaming of the Boston Bruins victory parade on their site.
