Bungie’s Destiny Set to Release

Bungie’s newest game, Destiny, is set to release on September 9, 2014.

Destiny is the long awaited game from Bungie since breaking ties with their world renown franchise, Halo.

Now Bungie, along with Activision, are bringing an all new story and game play to the scene with Destiny.

In Destiny, you play as a Guardian, protector of Earth and the human race. You are charged with exploring nearby planets and defeating the enemies of humans.

The game plays like a first-person adventure, but it has many RPG elements a la Borderlands or Fallout where you are continually upgrading your armor, weapons and stats to make you a more powerful Guardian.

Destiny will also feature multiple game modes. One being the Story mode, which gives you the ultimate immersion experience playing as a Guardian. The others are Crucible, a multiplayer versus mode, Explore, where the universe is your oyster as you roam around collecting valuable items, Strike, where you and two other real life players fight waves of enemies until you reach and defeat the boss at the end, Tower, this is the social hub of the game, and one unannounced mode which is sure to be revealed sometime after Destiny’s release.

Pre-order Destiny now and get early access to the Vanguard Armory for weapons and gear.

Which game experience will you choose? The Limited Edition contains game star charts, posters, a player emblem, aluminum disc case, an exclusive player ship skin and the Destiny Expansion Pass (downloads for the first and second expansions upon their release).

The Ghost Edition includes everything in the Limited Edition, as well as a Ghost replica from the game. Destiny will be available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 at release.
