Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress was fired Monday and replaced by defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier after a rough loss to the Green Bay Packers.
The 31-3 loss to Green Bay sent the Vikings record to a low 3-7. The team had been a favorite before the season began to go to the Super Bowl this year. After losing three of the first four games they played, it seems the Vikings have been unable to recover.
Childress has coached the Vikings for four and a half seasons and has an overall record with the team of 40-37. He helped lead the team to the NFC Championship game in 2009 where they eventually lost to the New Orleans Saints.
The Vikings have announced that defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier will step in as interim coach for the remainder of the season.
The Vikings are set to play the Washington Redskins this coming weekend.
