Cinco de Mayo is Tuesday, May 5th, and to help celebrate restaurants nationwide are offering food and drinks specials.
Here’s a list of what everyone from Taco Bell to Chipotle’s is offering, plus some local NYC specials.
Nationwide
Taco Bell: Participating Taco Bell locations are giving away one free sausage or bacon biscuit taco per customer from 7-11 A.M (EST).
Applebee’s: kids meals are 99¢ from 4-10 P.M. (EST) and appetizers are 1/2 price after 10 P.M. (EST)
Chevy’s: Chevy’s will have drink specials all day long- prices vary by location.
Moe’s Southwest Grill: A free T-shirt will be given to the first 50 customers at Moe’s across the U.S. and their Atlanta location will be offering a burrito, chips and salsa for $5 all day long.
Chili’s: Chili’s is offering up a great deal: buy one adult entree and get either a free appetizer, free dessert or free kids’ meal with these printable coupons. This offer is good until May 7.
Sonic Drive-in: Get 1/2 price drinks and slushies all day at any Sonic Drive-in, no coupons needed.
Chipotle: Chipotle has published their famous guacamole recipe to help you celebrate at home. Get the recipe here.
Baja Fresh Mexican Grill: Order $100 or more worth of food and get a free 8-ounce serving of guacamole and chips and an order of churros.
NYC Specials
Cinco de Mayo Mex Fest at The Seaport (212- 724-3900): Pier 16 is having a Mexican-themed food truck festival from 12-7 P.M. (EST). Call to get a $5 ticket, which is good for a sombrero and ticket voucher that can be redeemed for 1 Beer, 1
Margarita, 1 Shot of Tequila, 1 Michelada or 2 Tacos. If you purchase a ticket on site it is $8.
Dos Caminos: The Mexican eatery and lunge is offering $5 margarita’s – their NYC location also has an all-female mariachi band .
Maya: This NYC restaurant is offering a “Bottomless Margarita Brunch.” For $43 you get unlimited shared plates at brunch, as well as cocktails.
Crema Restaurant: This NYC restaurant will have an extended happy hour, from 4-9 P.M. (EST).
Besito: You can participate in a Patron Tequila tasting from 3-6 p.M (EST) – part of each patron’s bill will go to help Mexican children by providing meals to kids in Mexico.
