Clinique has launched the Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel. This product is replacing their Spot Healing Gel.
According to Clinique, the Clearing Gel is a clinically proven treatment that clears up blemishes and prevents future breakouts. The company says the results are as good as a leading topical acne prescription for clearer skin.
Clinique describes the gel as an anti blemish solution. It contains Benzalkonium Chloride to help prevent the spread of acne bacteria and controls oil with Laminaria Saccarina, which helps normalize the production of oil.
Other ingredients in Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel include Witch Hazel, a natural plant extract to tighten pores, and Salicylic Acid, which exfoliates dead skin that clogs pores.
To prevent irritation, this product also contains Sea Whip Extract, an anti-inflammatory to soothe the skin and reduce redness.
Acne Solutions Clearing Gel can be used on all skin types with occasional breakouts, or on acne prone skin, says Clinique. Unlike other spot treatment gels, this product is smooth and spreadable. This makes it possible to use it as an all over treatment for acne prone skin.
Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel comes in two sizes, .5 oz. for $17, and 1 oz. for $25.
This product can be found at Sephora, Blue Mercury and most major Department Stores.
