Talk about news to get comic book fans excited: it’s being reported by Variety that characters from ‘Secret Warriors’ will be appearing on ABC’s ‘Marvel Agents of Shield’ and play a major role at San Diego Comic Con in July.
In the exclusive scoop Variety reporter Laura Prudom reveals that when ‘MAOS” premieres on September 29, the ABC hit will be introducing good and bad guys based on the ‘Secret Warriors’ comics.
For those who don’t know, the ‘Secret Warriors’ is a group of super powerful agents put together by none other than Nick Fury.
These agents, who possess special abilities, have been hidden and are relatively unknown, making them harder to identify and compromise.
Tying into this season 3 ‘ Secret Warriors’ theme, which has Director Coulson (Clark Gregg) searching for more powerful beings to fight any and every threat, ABC and Marvel are launching a campaign that will take place during Comic Con.
Fans will have a chance to be a part of this crime fighting “team” through a series of interactive events.
From July 9-11 SHIELD ambassadors will be walking around the convention handing out ‘Secret Warriors’ pins.
Fans who get a ‘Secret Warriors’ pin at Comic-Con will then complete their 1st mission- posting a photo of themselves wearing the pin to social media using #SHIELDSecretWarriors.
Then, ‘Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD’ cast members will select their favorite pics, which could end up on the show’s official @AgentsofShield Twitter page .
Fans can follow the ambassadors on the Twitter page as well.
Full details of ‘Secret Warriors’ and the upcoming 3rd season of ‘Marvel Agents of Shield’ will be revealed during the “Marvel Television Presents” panel at San Diego Comic Con on Friday, July 10 from 3:00 P.M.– 4:15 in Ballroom 20.
