News broke earlier this week that Disney was planning a Boy Meets World remake, and the Internet is buzzing.
Boy Meets World was an extremely successful sitcom that ran from 1993 to 2000 on ABC’s famous “TGIF” lineup. Alongside Full House, Step by Step, Family Matters, and Perfect strangers, Boy Meets World helped to shape an entire generation of 90’s children. Many 20 somethings can remember Cory and Topanga being the first TV romance to ever spark their interest.
Michael Jacobs, the original producer of the show, and Disney are hoping to recreate the magic he bottled in 1993 for a new generation.
The new adaptation of the show will focus on Cory and Topanga’s daughter and will cleverly be titled “Girl Meets World“.
Danielle Fishell, who plays Topanga, tweeted a very playful “@bensavage and I have talked and we’ve decided…Thanksgiving is going to be delicious this year!”.
What a perfect little teaser! Many of the stars from the show are in talks to reprise their rolls on the revamp. Including Lily Nicksay, who played Cory’s little sister on the show from 1993-1995. Remember the magic of 90’s television? One day you have a baby sister, and one day you don’t.
