Cyber Monday 2013 follows upon the heels of a very long Black Friday weekend.
Like Black Friday, Cyber Monday is being extended out to cover more than one day. Most retailers are having “Cyber Week” sales along with their Cyber Monday push.
Amazon is an example. They are having a “Cyber Monday Deals Week.”
Like their Black Friday sale, they will be having deals every 10 minutes throughout the week. They have a carousel on their site that shows current deals, upcoming deals, and… if you really want to torture yourself – missed deals.
Many of their deals are not much to get excited about. There are Post-It Notes, shoes, some costume jewelry.
But there are some upcoming deals that promise a bit more excitement. Later today they’ll have an ASUS 15.6″ touchscreen laptop with Windows 8, a 3B Scientific Marble Space Coaster, Millennium: The Complete DVD Collection, an HP 24WD LED-lit Monitor, and even Underdog: The Complete Series, on sale.
There are a huge number of items available in Amazon’s sale – but they can be looked through quickly and the times that upcoming items go on sale are listed – though the sale prices are not.
Amazon also has a section set aside for toys that are on sale. Both the toy sale and full Cyber Monday Sale Week are available through their home page.
eBay might not be a site many of us would consider visiting for Cyber Monday deals. I mean, they have deals all the time. But the auction site is having a big promotion right now with many of their sellers getting in on the action. In fact, according to ChannelAdvisor, eBay sales were up 35% Black Friday morning.
eBay is promoting their Cyber Monday Deal Frenzy from November 30 through December 3, with deals on jewelry, tech and toys. They are even having Doorbuster specials and what they call “Web-Crashing Crazy Deals.” We’ll be watching eBay closely to see how all this works out.
Walmart has started their Cyber Monday deals already. They currently have 293 items listed in the sale.
Some items, like their 55″ Samsung HDTV for $698, are already listed as sold out. They do currently have a 32 GB Apple iPad with Wi-Fi with 8-in-1 accessory/Bluetooth speaker kit on sale for $449. A 9″ RCA dual-core Android tablet is on sale for $99. A 32″ SCEPTRE HDTV is on sale for $179. They even have a laptop bundle, including a laptop, case, flashdrive and printer, on sale for $299.
Target is also having a week long Cyber Monday sale. Along with their regular sale, they have online doorbusters each day. They have a preview of the next day’s doorbusters. Included in the doorbusters on Cyber Monday is a PS3 console bundle, an Apex 32″ HDTV, a Pentax Q10, a Polaroid Action Cam, and a Dyson vacuum. Unfortunately, they don’t list the sale prices ahead of time.
Best Buy is featuring a large number of Samsung HDTVs in their Cyber Monday sale – from 22″ to up to 65″. Prices range from $149 to $1999. They have a number of laptop bundles, including the laptop, available starting at $279. They also have a Cyber Week deal of the day section. Today the section is dedicated to digital cameras. They don’t list what will be available tomorrow.
