Dallas Mavericks/Miami Heat Rematch Ends With Dallas On Top

The Dallas Mavericks won the NBA championships this year after upstaging the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the finals. They won by the biggest margin of the finals this year, 105-95 to clinch what was their first-ever NBA championship. They had won conference final in 2006, but went on to lose to Miami Heat in that season.

The Heats took an early lead in the sixth game thanks to LeBron James, before Dallas pumped in 21 points in the next five minutes or so. The lead was increased to 40-28 in the first half before the Heats slammed the gas to score the next 14.

By the third quarter, the Mavericks were leading 81-72 which before they increased the lead to 12.

With Dirk Nowitzki scoring a few in the last couple of minutes, the Mavericks were soon ahead by 10 minutes with 147 second remaining and they were able to maintain that lead for the remaining time.

Nowitzki’s excellent display in the NBA finals won him the MVP, even as James’ 21 points in this game went in vain. Earlier, Miami had led twice in the NBA finals, but lost the last three games in a row to lose the championship.
