Well, one thing is clear after VideoGamer’s interview with Alex Toplansky, the creative producer at Deep Silver.
There will be no Dead Island 2 for the Will U.
Not a big surprise really, as there was no Dead Island for the Wii.
What is interesting is that Toplansky says fans shouldn’t get their hopes up when it comes to Dead Island 2 on PS4 and Xbox 720.
“It would be irresponsible to raise expectations right now” said Toplansky.
But he followed that up with “”but I think people should keep an eye out.”
Ok. so let’s keep an eye out… but not expect much.
Not sure about the mind games going on there – but Dead Island did well on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It has a strong following. There’s no apparent reason the sequel wouldn’t be available on the PS4 and Xbox 720. Toplansky even says in the interview that they ‘would be stupid’ not to consider all possibilities.’
But will it be one of the early games available on the next-gen consoles? Toplansky’s careful wording may indicate it won’t be.
What do you think? Will Dead Island 2 be available for the PS4 and Xbox 720 when they launch, or will it be a while?
