Delta Airlines announced today that they will be offering free access to and (Amazon’s cell phone sales portal) to passengers on all Delta and Delta connection flights that include in-flight Wi-Fi.

Delta does not offer direct, full access, Internet connections during its flights. Through their in-flight Wi-Fi portal, they do offer free access to travel information, news, the Wall Street Journal and People magazine, plus shopping offers from Delta and their Wi-Fi provider Gogo. Amazon shopping will now be available through banners placed on Delta’s Wi-Fi portal page.

According to Delta, more than 160 million customers fly on the airline each year, which gives Amazon a huge, literally ‘captive’ audience. The terms of the deal were not released.
