Fox has finally confirmed that Demi Lovato will return as a judge for Season 3 of The X Factor.
Lovato announced: “I am so excited to return as a judge and mentor on The X Factor. Last season was an unbelievable experience and I really enjoyed developing personal relationships with the contestants and the panel. I look forward to taking my previous experience and applying it to make this season even better!”
Simon chimed in on his excitement about the return of Lovato stating: “I couldn’t be happier that Demi wants to come back this year. She’s a superstar in her own right and was a fantastic mentor last year. Even though she can be really, really annoying – I truly enjoyed working with her and so did the artists. I’m especially pleased she’s back, even during her world tour!”
Last season, Lovato, made her X Factor debut as the youngest judge and mentor to the Young Adults category.
She meshed quite nicely with her fellow judges, especially with her spicy, yet lighthearted banter with Simon Cowell.
She brought a freshly youthful viewpoint to the judging panel all the while offering visible support and encouragement to all her contestants.
Lovato’s return to the X Factor panel comes at an exciting time in her career as she has just recently achieved gold status in the U.S. for her latest single, “Heart Attack.” Her newest single received such accolades within just four weeks of its release.
X Factor still needs to replace judges L.A. Reid and Britney Spears, who both decided to leave after the completion of last season.
