Director Blake Edwards, famous for his work on Pink Panther, has died at the age of 88.
According to publicist Gene Schwam, Edwards suffered from complications of pneumonia which led to his death., He passed away at St John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California.
At the time of his passing, Edwards was surrounded by family including his wife, actress Julie Andrews.
Blake Edwards directed 46 different titles which included the notable Pink Panther series, Victor Victoria and Breakfast at Tiffanys.
He also did some writing for both television and the movies as well as acting in several films.
